Organization, My jewelry

I never was a fan of small jewelry boxes.  My really long necklaces never fit and it was difficult to find my earnings.  I found this a couple years ago at Marshall's for $15. I have seen them on amazon for the same price.

There are many reasons I love my jewlery hanging organizer : Easy to find because of the see-through slots, rolls up for travel,  zippers for security, easy mobility, no knots, and it hangs next to my clothes for easy match ups.

On one side I put all my necklaces and hair things.  The other side I put my earrings.

This is a close up of one of the zipper sections.

It fits nicely in between my clothes hangers. Plus they match!

Health, 120 calorie pancakes!

These are amazing!  They taste like french toast and pancakes mixed together.  Super easy to make and not many ingredients.  It looks like a small serving, but this is my giant dinner plate.  Pretty sweet deal here.

Ingredients:
2 ounces of room temp fat free cream cheese (60 cal), 1/2 cup of egg substitute (60 cal), 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 packet of Splenda.

NOTE:  Do not add fruit to the mixture.  I did and they did not turn out the first time.  Add the fruit on top for extra flavor.

Directions:
First, preheat skillet on a med-low heat (spray with nonstick in between every pancake). Second, add all the ingredients to the blender and mix until smooth. Third, wait two minutes until mixture settles. Fourth, add 1/4 of the mixture to skillet and wait two minutes to flip or until edges are cooked. Lastly, cook the backside for one minute or until brown.  Continue to do these steps with the rest of the mixture.

The pancakes themselves have 120 calories.  1/4 of a cup of no sugar maple syrup has 35 calories.  I love this recipe because you can add some chocolate chips on top and not feel bad about it....just not the whole bag. ;)

Cooking, rosemary and roasted garlic chicken

This new product is called "Fresh Take".  It is like shake 'n bake only with cheese.  You can find it in the cheese refrigerated section.  It has a crunch, but does not make the chicken dry.

I used two large chicken breasts, but I had some Fresh Take left over.  The serving size is for six.

1. Cut the chicken into 6 parts and pound away. Be sure to cut off fat as well.

2. The packaging comes into two separate parts (bread crumbs and cheese).  Simply peel open the seal and the lining will separate.

3. Mix the two ingredients together and add a piece of chicken. Seal, shake, repeat!

4. Spray pan and bake!  Mine took about 35 minutes on 375.  The packaging also gives cooking instructions. Ignore the chicken in the left corner.  That was for me. :)

VOILA!  I tried a bite and it was delicious.  It made the house smell amazing!  My hubby gave it a 8 out of a ten.  Which is pretty good considering only chocolate items get a ten.  lol

Organization, dinner menu.

This list took me 20 minutes to make, but it is going to save me a lot of time.  It is my hubby's dinner menu.  This is my first  time trying it out.  I figured it is a good way to use up what we have and prepare ahead of time.  I didn't want to make a menu where I had to stick to a meal for that day.  I am just going to hang it on my fridge and prepare what I have time for that day.  When I use up a product I will just cross it off the list.

I eat many things on this list, but most of the time I make myself a separate dinner.  I do eat meat, just not every supper.  I will have to do a blog on just dinners for myself sometime.

Coupons, How I buy groceries.

This week is a slow one because I really don't have to buy much food.  I am stocked up and need to use some food up before buying more.  That is the beauty of couponing. I don't have to grocery shop every week.  This happens about every 5-6 weeks. However, I do need to pick up veggies, fruit, and some house products this week.

ANYWAYS, (my a.d.d. comes from my mother.) This is how I get great deals at Tops.  I pick Tops to shop at because they are close and they give out an ad every week so I know what I am getting into before I get there.  I squeal every Friday when I see the Penny Saver on my front step.

I am so organized when it comes to my binder (blog post soon).  Every coupon goes in its right place. I have categories for every coupon.  First, I look through the ad to see what I need.  I circle the deals that I find interesting then bring them to my computer when I am done.

Here I found a pound of Land O Frost Premium Lunch Meat for $1.90!  The sale was 2 for $6 which makes it $3 each.  The coupon will double to $1.10!  I know the TV shows show people getting stuff for free (I do too a lot)  but I wanted to show you something more practical you could apply to your life. A pound of meat for $1.90 is a great deal!

Projects, The Logo.

Last night my hubby pointed out to me that the logo didn't look right on his computer.  It looked great on mine, but he has a better computer then I do. This morning I fixed it on his computer.  Here is the new one:

My computer can't even tell the difference.  However, the difference is clear on my hubby's laptop and computer. Anyways, I am happy with it.  This is my old post and logo:

This project took a good part of my day to design it.  It was hard work over all making this blog, but I like this kind of stuff. Even though it is 1:00 AM, I finally have my blog how I want it.  I am sure I will add more pages or change something, but over all I am content. Enjoy!

Health, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Here is a typical breakfast for me:  fruit or flax seed oatmeal (usually dark chocolate flavored).  It really depends on what I am eating for lunch.  If I have something higher in carbs and/or calories for lunch I will eat fruit.  If I am having something light I will eat oatmeal.

Lunch is always different:  Salads, soups, broccoli salad, sandwich, 100 calorie pack popcorn, dehydrated apple chips, creamed spinach, Fruit, and broccoli and cheese.  I mix and match a lot.

Broccoli salad recipe: One medium broccoli head cut, 1 tbsp of crumbled feta cheese, 2 1/2 tbsp of Marzetti lite caesar dressing (oil based), 1/4 cup red onion chopped, 1 packet of Stevia. Mix and enjoy.

This is my anniversary dinner (I don't have this stuff every day).  I didn't want to go out to eat this year so we just stopped at Wegmans and splurged.  8 brown rice sushi rolls, one mini egg roll, 3 crab rolls, avocado hummus, and wheat rice cakes broken in pieces (for dipping). Again this is not my typical dinner :).

Under 400 Calories. :)
